Residency at Nordic Artists' Centre Dale

03.01.25 – 21.02.25
I had the privilege of spending a residency at the Nordic Artists’ Centre Dale, together with fellow artists Vilde Blom, Benedicte Dahm, Anna Bera and Andreas Zissler

The residency is located in western Norway, surrounded by super lush nature. We each stayed in super wooden cabins and had access to spacious studios and well-equipped workshops. During my time there, I tried my hand at wood carving, took long walks in the landscape, and had time and space to prepare for upcoming projects.

A warm thank you to NKD for this stay and I warmly encourage other artists to apply.

Sparebanken Sør Kunstnerpris 2024

I'm honored to share that I've been selected as one of four nominees for the Sparebanken Sør Kunstnerpris 2024. This biennial award recognizes a young artist from Norway’s southern region. As part of the nomination, each artist will have the opportunity to exhibit their work in one of Kunstsilo's exhibition rooms.

This year’s nominees are:

  • Andreas Lian (b. 1991, Kristiansand)

  • Ingrid Bjørnaali (b. 1991, Kristiansand)

  • Olaf Tønnesland Hodne (b. 1990, Evje og Hornes)

  • Finn Adrian Jorkjen (b. 1990, Arendal)

The exhibition runs from 21.11.2024 to 16.03.2025.

The award ceremony will be held 16.01.2025

Residency at SEANSE

14.10.2024 - 18.10.24
I attended an artist residency at the Seanse Art Center in Volda, Norway. The residency brought together artists from dance, theater, music, and visual arts that were working on projects aimed at young audieces. We had feedback sessions, meetings with experienced mentors, and test runs of our projects. I especially loved the cross disciplinary discussions that occurred.

During this period, I developed a performance piece titled "High Performance Situation" aimed towards an audience in the age range of 12-19 in a classroom setting.

Thank you to Marit, Karstein, and Kristian for creating such a welcoming and productive residency stay for us.
